In the 20 years that The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has been measuring the sentiments of the manufacturing sector, 2018 stood out. Manufacturers' Outlook Survey for the fourth quarter of 2018, released on Dec. “Empowered by tax reform and regulatory certainty, manufacturers are keeping our promise to expand our operations, hire new workers and raise wages and benefits,” said NAM CEO Jay Timmons.

81% of manufacturers believe their revenue will increase in 2018. 2018 is looking good according to a recent survey of manufacturers. The 2018 Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) National Manufacturing Outlook Survey found that manufacturers have a more positive outlook about the economy for 2018 than in 2017. Survey results for 2018 include: --81% of manufacturers believe their revenue will increase in 2018, with 72% eyeing organic growth in the U.S.
