Last week I attended the Blue Yonder ICON conference. The bank said Friday that it is launching new “Supply Availability Indexes” via a blog posting on Monday that going forward will feature as part of its regular monthly surveys of regional business activity. At the CSCMP conference in late September, I heard a lot of speakers talking about the aggregate equipment loss — 50,000 to 70,000 units were taken out of service.

It’s remarkable, then, that a recent customer survey by DriverIQ, a provider of back- ground screening for the trucking industry, showed that 35 percent of companies have NO programs aimed at recruiting and retaining women drivers!
