An invention of particular note was and continues to be eCommerce, or the selling and buying of goods and services online. We’re not laundry experts, but we do know a thing or two about eCommerce. In 1969, the military developed ARPANET to ensure that critical lines of communication would be maintained in the event of a nuclear attack.
