According to the annual consumer survey released today by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics, approximately 76 percent of US adults are expected to celebrate Father’s Day. Drone deliveries have continued to gain steam, and a lot of the media attention has been around Amazon losing ground in the US.

But many people are not aware that last-mile deliveries are also handled by thousands of small local and regional package delivery firms. Package delivery companies are prime targets as well. Shippers saw major rate increases and adjustments in surcharges from the U.S. Postal Service, UPS and FedEx.
