I spent the full day yesterday roaming the floor and meeting with exhibitors. DHL is currently utilizing the solution for integration of multiple vendors of robotics and collaborative robotics. Pick path optimization considers multiple factors including one-way aisles to determine the most efficient travel path.

In most cases, a WMS follows basic logic and location sequence pick paths in allocating work. But it is not looking at batch and path optimization without robots. To be truly optimized, you need to harmonize the travel of both robots and humans. They dynamically travel to the most optimized pick and meet the AMR there.
