Last week I attended the Blue Yonder ICON conference. The bank said Friday that it is launching new “Supply Availability Indexes” via a blog posting on Monday that going forward will feature as part of its regular monthly surveys of regional business activity. My write-up gets into all of the great things I saw while at the show.

However, members of the shippers and providers panel at the CSCMP press conference stressed that the tradeoff is a welcome improvement to safety now that drivers cannot cheat on their logbooks. If things don't change, and we continue up this progression, by 2026, we will be at 170,000 drivers short.
