In March 2018, three Carter Express associates won awards at a banquet hosted by the Indiana Motor Truck Association’s Safety and Maintenance Council.

The prestigious Saturday night event recognized industry professionals who have demonstrated high levels of success in their areas of expertise including developing, implementing, and maintaining a safe workplace.

SAFETY PROFESSIONAL OF THEYEAR

Darick Underwood, Assistant Safety Director, received the “Safety Professional of the Year” award.  The recipient is chosen from a group of safety professionals based on professional achievements, success in advancing highway and industry safety in his fleet, relationship and cooperation with government officials, and methods of meeting and solving safety problems within his fleet.  Congratulations Darick!

DRIVER OF THE MONTH AWARDS

Among the drivers with experience of 25 years or more, Bill Huffman (pictured right) from Carter Express received “Driver of the Month” award for February 2017.  This award recognizes drivers who have achieved superior driving records.  The criteria for selection include a safe driving record, company recommendation, professional achievements, and community service.  Join us in congratulating Bill for a job well done.

TECHNICIAN OF THE QUARTERAWARD

Lastly, Allen Nolan (pictured right) won “Technician of the Quarter Award” at the banquet. Each quarter, a technician is nominated based on their contributions in several aspects of their job. Nolan was recognized for his accomplishments with a plaque presented by the IMTA. We are proud to have him on our team.
