During this podcast, Haber provided a detailed overview of key trends and themes in parcel, express delivery, and last-mile logistics sectors. Topics covered included: Peak Season prospects; rates and pricing; current service levels; and Amazon's logistics growth, among others.

John Haber is the president of the Parcel Business Unit of Transportation Insight a Hickory, NC-based multi-modal, lead logistics provider that partners with manufacturers, retailers, and distributors to achieve significant cost savings, reduce cycle times, and improve customer satisfaction rates through customized supply chain solutions.

Prior to joining Transportation Insight, John was CEO and founder of Spend Management Experts, which was acquired by Transportation Insights earlier this year in January.

John Haber has more than 25 years of supply chain experience and has helped some of the world’s leading brands drive greater efficiencies through their supply chain operations while reducing transportation, distribution and fulfillment costs. Haber began his career at UPS where he held various executive level positions in corporate finance and corporate strategy and was instrumental in developing profitability and costing models.

He also managed the carrier’s National Accounts Profitability Group, where he audited the pricing and profitability of UPS’ top customers. Haber’s finance background, combined with decades of experience working with high volume shippers, enables him to offer unique insights on strategic supply chain planning including distribution model optimization, transportation cost analysis, and carrier contract optimization and compliance.
