Lineage Logistics plans to expand its network with a new automated cold-storage facility in Windsor, Colorado, that will serve JBS Foods USA.
Construction of the facility is expected to conclude in 2023.

The new 14.86-acre site, which is located within the 3,000-acre Great Western Industrial Park (GWIP), will provide JBS with more than 200,000 square feet of blast freezing and cold storage capacity, according to Lineage, as well as rail access to support the shipment of export products to ports located on the West Coast.
OmniTRAX will design, build, and operate a custom intermodal rail solution for the new facility that unlocks bulk shipment efficiency and enables worldwide reach, the companies said.

Lineage and JBS worked closely with Windsor and Upstate Colorado Economic Development to secure the project. Through the public-private collaboration, the facility will provide in a $102.9 million, 10-year net fiscal benefit to Windsor that will support further economic development of the region, including the creation of 80 permanent jobs, Lineage said.
