With a 1.1-cent gain, the national average price per gallon came in at $2.383. This came after a 0.013-cent decline, to $2.372 per gallon, for the week of November 2 and a 0.003-cent decline, for the week of October 26, which came in at $2.385 per gallon and a 0.007-cent decline, to $2.388 per gallon, for the week of October 19.
The national average has been below the $3 per gallon mark since the week of February 2, when it posted an average of $2.956.
On an annual basis, this week’s national average is down 69.0 cents, matching the week of November 2 and above the previous three weeks, at 67.9 cents, 66.2 cents, and 65.6 cents, respectively.
West Texas Intermediate Crude is currently trading at $40.89 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
