National diesel average sees an increase, reports EIA

With a 0.004-cent increase, this week’s average came in at $3.051 per gallon, following declines of 1.9-cents and 0.015-cents, respectively, over the previous two weeks.
From the week of July 8 through the week of September 9, a seven-week span, the national diesel average fell a cumulative 8.4 cents. And since the week of September 16, when the average was at $2.987, through this week’s $3.051 average, there has been a cumulative gain of 0.064-cents.
On an annual basis, this week’s average is down 34.3 cents.
West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil is currently trading at $53.04 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
