The national average price per gallon of diesel gasoline fell for the third time in the last five weeks, according to data issued this week by the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Falling 0.002 cents, this week’s average came in at $3.062. This followed last week’s 0.014-cent gain and a decline of 0.001 cents, for the week ending October 21. Going back to the week of September 23, diesel has fallen a cumulative 0.019-cents.
On an annual basis, this week’s average is down 27.6 cents.
West Texas Intermediate Crude Oil is currently trading at $57.21 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
