Shonda Claborn, Driver Relations Manager, attended the conference on behalf of Carter to accept the award. She states, “It was a pleasure and an honor to walk across that stage on behalf of all the hardworking women in our company! I strongly believe that Carter Logistics is a top company to work for. They are exceptional when it comes to fostering growth and success for their women employees, whether they work in the trucks, in the office, or out in the field!”

Carter prides itself on being a diverse company, which entails having more gender diversity. Carter believes that having women in leadership and management roles adds significant value to their workforce. Carter’s now CEO, Jessica Warnke, says, “As a woman leader in our organization, I couldn’t be prouder of Carter for receiving this award from the Women in Trucking organization. Carter has always worked to increase our number of women truck drivers because we knew it made good business sense in terms of safety and longevity. However, in recent years I’ve seen the organization make strides to increase women in positions across the spectrum at Carter, from mechanics to executives. Watching this transformation over the past 7 years has been one of my favorite parts of working for this company.”
