Davies Turner has promoted Tony Cole to head of ocean, replacing Kieron Larkin who is to lead a strategic review of the company’s IT systems and software.
Mr Cole joined Davies Turner in 1990 as ocean import manager and subsequent positions have seen him head up the company’s Far East ocean freight tradelanes.
As head of supply chain services, Mr Cole was instrumental in the launch and development of Davies Turner’s direct weekly Express China Rail consol services in 2018.
Chairman Phillip Stephenson said: “Tony is one of Davies Turner’s most experienced senior managers, with a strong sales and operational record in ocean freight forwarding and international logistics.
“Kieron’s new role is to lead our business development team, that will assess and formulate the direction that our IT systems and communications need to follow over the next five to 10 years to support our business objectives and customer needs, while improving our competitive edge through the use of the latest systems and software.”
