Oakland truckers peacefully protesting AB5 are being sued by the Port of Oakland; however, the court has decided to take more time to review the case. 

Some truckers just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and were grouped in with the protesters.

Anyone who has traveled across Louisiana knows about the incredibly long bridge that takes you over the surrounding swamp, the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

With no exits or shoulders for 18 miles, this bridge can be very hazardous if everyone doesn’t follow the speed limits. 

In 2021, there were 269 crashes with two deaths and 89 injuries on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.

Port of NY NJ Dwell Fees Atchafalaya Basin Bridge Double Speeding Fines Scott

The Port of New Jersey and New York have experienced a 34% increase in cargo since 2019 as carriers move shipments from the west coast to the east coast. 

As a result of the increased volume, the Port of NJ/NY will charge ocean carriers fees for long-dwelling containers beginning September 1.
