Worldwide Flight Services Receives New Cargo Contract Extensions in Paris

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) have been granted an extension to their contract with Qatar Airways Cargo for Cargo handling at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. In addition to their existing contract, WFS will now provide ramp transportation for Qatar Airways and will move their cargo to and from the aircraft and the warehouses for each of the three flights a day that operate from Paris to Doha.

Container fire breaks out on a second Maersk box ship, but crew is safe

Just days after tragedy struck when a fatal fire broke out on the Maersk Honam, the carrier has reported a similar incident on another vessel. A spokesman said the 6,188 teu Maersk Kensington reported a container on fire in a cargo hold en route from Salalah, Oman, towards Suez today. All 26 crew members are safe and accounted for and the fire is reported to be contained.

Fuso goes on sale and all-electric light-duty trucks hit the road in the UK

Fuso’s eCanter will hit roads across the country, joining customers in Germany, Japan and the US. Speaking at the launch in London Print Works, Fuso CEO Marc Llistosella said the eCanter was the “ideal solution” for London as the capital’s mayor plans major GHG emission reductions.
