Orders placed with U.S. factories for business equipment rebounded in April even as the prior month’s figure was revised downward, indicating resilient demand at the start of the second quarter, Commerce Department figures showed on May 25.

The market has been under pressure since 2017, but olefin trade growth has averaged 3.1% annually over 2012-17, down from 4.0% during 2007-12.

The Baltic Exchange’s main sea freight index, tracking rates for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, fell on Friday to mark a second straight weekly decline, as rates across vessel segments fell. .
