Now this band is made up of musicians that my wife went to college with, so there was a strong college contingent. They also all have real jobs, and use this as an outlet for their musical skill and desire to have a good time.

YRC trims Q1 net loss to $14.6 million as operating ratio hits 100

YRC reported consolidated operating revenue for first quarter of $1.215 billion and a consolidated operating loss of $4.3 million, which included a $3.2 million loss on property disposals. By comparison, YRC’s 2017 first quarter included operating revenue of $1.171 billion and $300,000 consolidated operating income, which included a $2.7 million loss on property disposals.

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) handled the delivery of 22-metre pipes for a solar energy project onboard one of its Boeing 747 freighters for European customer Neele-Vat Air. Eight crates weighing around 20 tonnes and measuring 2200 x 50 x 50cm were loaded through the 747’s nose-swing door in Amsterdam, with the help of two loading cranes, in preparation for the delivery to Zhengzhou, China. AAR reports annual gains for U.S. rail carload and intermodal volumes

United States rail carload and intermodal volumes were solid in April, according to data issued this week by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). Rail carloads in April headed up 3.3%, or 34,020 carloads, to 1,051,026 carloads, compared to April 2017. The AAR added that for the month 15 of the 20 rail carload commodity categories it tracks saw gains, including: crushed stone, sand & gravel, up 8,466 carloads or 8.6%; coal, up 7,337 carloads or 2.4%; and grain, up 5,305 carloads or 5.
