Tony Barton of Blountville, TN, was named a Highway Angel by the Truckload Carriers Association for his efforts to protect a motorist that had rolled their vehicle in the middle of an Interstate in Nashville, TN.

Barton said he had been a volunteer firefighter for decades, making him no stranger to emergencies.

Thanks to his heroic actions, he blocked oncoming traffic, protecting the driver and preventing the incident from worsening.

The truck driver strike in South Korea spurs delays in shipments needed for semiconductor production.

Thousands of truck drivers refuse to make deliveries due to soaring fuel prices and are blocking the roads for those trying to complete deliveries.

Could the strike impact cargo shipments bound for the US?

SUPPLY CHAIN SAVINGS | How to improve Time To Recovery (TTR) when supply chain disruptions strike?

Everyone is re-thinking their supply chains with a key metric in mind: Time To Recovery (TTR).

One of the ways they are lowing their TTR when a disruption happens is by re-organizing their supply chain into more of a hub-and-spoke, holistic structure with a focus on regional suppliers versus the previous methodology of shaving pennies where you could, even if it meant ordering from the other side of the world.

When climbing a mountain, eventually, you will get to the top and start a descent.

When will the descent start for shipping costs?

S&P Global and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics stated that despite a drop in spot rates, shippers will continue to pay more for Truckload, LTL, and warehousing through 2023.
