The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) aims to make the highways safer by gathering data on crash-avoidance technology.

The crash-avoidance field study wants the opinions of commercial motor carrier drivers and is studying the effect of safety technology, which includes multiple sensors, radar algorithms, and full braking systems that detect pedestrians and obstacles.

Just as West Coast ports breathe a sigh of relief after clearing backlogged cargo… here comes something new to be anxious over.

Negotiations between dockworkers and cargo companies on the West Coast start this week.

Historically, these talks have taken months to resolve as the negotiations concern approximately 22,400 workers at 29 ports in California.

What are both sides looking to achieve in the negotiation process? Find out here.

With diesel prices soaring, carriers are turning to technology to increase fuel economy for their fleets.

Trucking companies have been using telematics and sensors to analyze fuel consumption for years, and just as all tech evolves and improves, so does fuel consumption tech.

These new systems deliver incredible amounts of data and can be very granular in their fuel efficiency and consumption analysis.

Even with all the pressures on the food supply chain, some organizations still find ways to put those in need first.

Catastrophes like natural disasters, pandemics, and military conflicts, to name a few, leave innocent people without necessities… like food.

The Food Shippers of America (FSA) supports non-profit organizations to ease hunger and resource strains when unforeseen calamity hits communities.
