Seat joins Alastria blockchain network

Spanish carmaker Seat has joined the Alastria consortium to work on the development of blockchain-based products. Blockchain technology uses a distributed ledger platform, aimed at providing transparency for businesses, including supply chain monitoring. Seat is the first carmaker to join the network, which now involves 70 major businesses and institutions, including banks, telecom providers, energy companies and universities.

Renault plans home delivery for online sales in Russia

Renault has announced plans to start a home delivery service in Russia for vehicles sold via its online showroom. The French carmaker told Russian newspaper Vedomosti that the start of the home delivery service would coincide with the release of the Renault Arkana (pictured) in May this year. It will make Renault the first carmaker in Russia to offer home delivery, although a number of dealerships already do so.

Uniserve, Henry Shein and Royal Mail employees have already enrolled to study for the Degree Apprenticeship over the next three years. There are 25 apprentices in total.
