PROHIBITED TRANSPORT | Which state prohibits bird transport due to avian flu infections?
The latest highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreak is hitting the US bird populations hard.
Some states, like South Carolina, have prohibited the import and transportation of birds from counties in other states to try and stop the avian flu outbreaks.
In South Carolina, the importation of birds from counties that have not had any HPAI infections will still be allowed.
