Logistics BusinessRFID-Driven System Launched to Cut Costs of LOLER Compliance

Software application and engineering company Red Ledge has released a new RFID-driven system which it claims cuts the time and cost of meeting LOLER* regulations for lifting equipment with fast, accurate asset re-certification, end-to-end traceability and complete corporate compliance.

‘Red Ledge LOLER Certification’ is an automated solution that uses handheld scanning of RFID tags on lifting equipment to maintain an accurate and comprehensive record, providing an audit trail for the life-time of the asset. Once captured all LOLER-related information is held on the Red Ledge system for ongoing maintenance and reporting. Red Ledge LOLER can be integrated with all mainstream ERP and other enterprise systems.

Pilot users of the Red Ledge system report that it is robust and reliable, increases staff productivity and improves reporting accuracy, according to the company.

“For all owners of lifting equipment the penalties for LOLER non-compliance can be severe and the compliance process time-consuming,” comments Red Ledge technical director Alan Wilcockson. “Red Ledge LOLER Certification takes the paperwork out of that process, saving users time and money. We believe it will transform the industry.”
