Kion Group AG said today it has named Hasan Dandashly, a veteran of General Electric Co., to be president and CEO of its Dematic unit, succeeding John Baysore, who will become an advisor to Kion CEO Gordon Riske.
Dandashly, 57, had been president and CEO of GE's Oil & Gas Surface unit since 2017, and held the same positions at the company's Downstream unit since 2014. Dandashly was a 20-year GE veteran. He started at Dematic today, according to the German industrial truck manufacturer.
In a statement, Riske said Dadashly possesses a "unique mix of deep industrial and software expertise" that will benefit Kion's supply chain solutions segment.
Kion acquired Dematic in June 2016 for US $2.1 billion. The transaction closed that November.
