Romaine Seguin of UPSRomaine Seguin (pictured) has become president of Global Freight Forwarding at packaging delivery and supply chain management company, UPS. She moves from her role as president of the UPS Americas Region, where she was responsible for all UPS package and cargo operations in Canada and more than 50 countries and territories, as well as the UPS Supply Chain Solutions operations throughout Latin America, Miami and the Caribbean.

In the new role, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia, Seguin will oversee air, ocean, and rail freight forwarding, as well as brokerage and supplier management for the 220 countries and territories UPS serves around the world. 

Seguin began her career with UPS in 1983 as a part-time hub supervisor in Missouri. 

“I look forward to working with the Global Freight Forwarding team to continue addressing our customers’ primary concern of visibility into their global supply chain,” she said. “We will continue enhancing our suite of services with improved tracking and actionable insights to ensure our customers can meet their customers’ expectations.”

Over her career, Seguin has held a variety of operational and management roles, including chief operating officer of the UPS Europe, Middle East and Africa Region.

George Brooks replaces Seguin as president of the Americas Region, moving from his role as president of US Operations Engagement and Communications. 

In other moves at UPS recently, Ronald Mayorga has been appointed president for Mexico and Daryl Tay as president and representative director of UPS Japan, succeeding Masato Umeno, who is now director, Customs Brokerage, UPS South Asia.
