      Job Purpose:

      The Carter Logistics IT team has an opening for an Application Developer to develop new applications and troubleshoot existing C# applications.

       

      Duties:

      POSITION OVERVIEW:

      The Carter team is growing quickly and we are looking for someone who can keep up with the pace.       1. Coordinator will monitor triggered SmartDrive event videos, counseling drivers on unsafe behaviors and documenting the counseling (Coaching will be coordinator’s 1st priority).
      2. Coordinator should conduct a minimum of 50 coaching events per week
      3. Coordinator will monitor the SmartDrive dashboard on a daily basis to ensure Driver’s with highest safety score are coached on a timely and prioritized basis.
      4. Communicate any concerns/issues with the SmartDrive portal to the Director of Safety/Corporate Director of Risk Management immediately upon identification of issue.
      5. Assist with truck simulator training as requested
      6. Maintain necessary reports as required
      7. Coordinator will be responsible for creating after hours accident reports and reporting to the claims TPA
      8. Coordinator will communicate with Drivers regarding Hours of Service issues and edit driver logs when required

      Option1: We are adding two (2) new Team Routes. These routes are Dedicated and will run from Hebron, KY to San Antonio, TX. Miles should be in the 4,800 to 5,200 miles per range.

      Option 2: We are adding one (1), Solo Route This Dedicated, Out-Overnight Route starts in Hebron and delivers a drop and hook load to Kansas City, MO and back. Miles are a little over 1,000 per round trip. Our new driver will deliver this route three times one week and two times the next. On the short week, the driver can get an extra day off or run a local route, when available, to complete your week.

      Solo drivers can earn $2,400 Sign On Bonus.

      Payroll Specialist

      The Payroll Specialist compiles, enters, posts, and reconciles payroll data, to maintain accurate payroll records at the working location of Carter Headquarters – Anderson, IN. The Specialist will assist employees with questions pertaining to company payroll policies and procedures. The Specialist may conduct investigations into problems, as well as reconcile payroll issues, concerning payroll payments, deductions, and taxes. The Specialist will work closely with finance to ensure the accuracy of the payroll/general ledger information. The Specialist will assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing, process improvements.

      Payroll Processing

      • Monitors assigned payroll activities and/or program components (e.g. County, State, and Federal agencies, tax laws, FMLA, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring compliance with established financial, legal and/or administrative requirements
      • Prepares a variety of payroll related documents (e.g., retirement plan transfers, ACH transfers, voluntary and involuntary contributions, W-2 controls, verification of employment and salary, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information
      • Records changes affecting net wages, for example exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records
      • Compiles statistical and payroll data from a variety of sources (e.g. time sheets/payroll, salary adjustments, benefits etc.) for the purpose of providing summaries to other personnel, and/or ensuring compliance with established guidelines
      • Processes a wide variety of payroll documents and materials (e.g. time sheets, withholding information, employee contributions, leaves, supplements, stipends, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties
      • Maintains a wide variety of payroll information (e.g. direct deposits, W-4s, PTO records, salary, levies, garnishments, retirement, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
      • Responds to inquiries regarding payroll procedures (e.g. wage levies and garnishments, direct deposits, etc.) for the purpose of providing appropriate action and/or complying with established fiscal guidelines
      • Confers with a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. employees, County/State/Federal agencies, vendors, banking institutions, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate payroll processing
      • Coordinates and interacts with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation and deductions

      • Prepares bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for financials
      • Responds to inquiries regarding unemployment claim notices for the purpose of providing information to the agency regarding eligibility of benefits coverage
      • Participates in workshops, in-service trainings, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions
      • Prepares and issues direct deposits

      Payroll Reconciliation

      • Reviews payroll and a variety of insurance-related information (e.g. payroll reports, FMLA, requirements, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of payroll and insurance records
      • Reviews, analyzes, and checks payroll reports for accuracy and makes necessary adjustments or corrections through journal entries or other established procedure
      • Reconciles payroll account balances (e.g. time sheets, direct deposits, wage attachments, benefits, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and complying with established guidelines
      • Reviews employee records and wage payment information for year-end reporting of W-2 and retirement reporting
      • Resolves discrepancies with wage payments and W-2 documentation and makes appropriate corrections as needed

      Duties:

      OTR Dispatcher

      This position is responsible for managing milk run/truck load and all specialty accounts. Responsibilities include updating websites, monitoring timeliness of the drivers and routes. Communication to suppliers/plants/customers, drivers and all Internal departments and terminal locations.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Assign and plan loads to drivers.
      • Ensure on time pickups and deliveries to meet our customers’ needs.

      • Primary contact for all truck & trailer sales discussions/questions
      • Approve lease/rental invoices for current trucks/trailers

      Asset Management
      • Ensures safe and reliable equipment is available to meet operational requirements
      • Assisting with asset relocation & “right sizing”
      • Analyze asset purchase needs to replace aging equipment
      • Maintain and distribute inventory listing, specifications, availability status, and expectant inventory.

      EDUCATION:
      Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field preferred.

      EXPERIENCE:
      Must have prior sales experience, preferably heavy duty/medium duty truck experience. Mechanical understanding preferred, or enough to be able to learn additional equipment specifications.

      COMPUTER SKILLS:
      Must have working knowledge of PC applications and cognitive ability to learn company software application(s). Proficient skills in Excel are required.

      OTR Coordinator-Dispatcher

      As a team member in Fleet Maintenance, you will be a part of Carter Express’ competitive and lively work environment. Over The Road (OTR) Coordinators are the center of our driver’s success and play a vital role in the manufacturing of popular brands of vehicles seen on the road today. This role requires attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Necessary processes to complete job are trained.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Help our drivers solve issues while they are over the road (OTR)
      2. Track and Trace loads
      3. Vendor negotiation
      4. Work Friday-Sunday only (6AM-6PM)

      Logistics Supervisor

      The purpose of the Logistics Supervisor (LS) is to work with the Department Manager, Director, and other Operations’ staff to ensure that we are meeting customer requirements on a day-to-day basis and operating accounts within scope of Carter’s business strategy. The LS will also be responsible for managing assigned individuals and see to it that they are being developed professionally.

      OTR MANAGER

      The OTR Manager is responsible for operational planning and support of the Toyota North American parts Center in Hebron, KY. The OTR Manager is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with Toyota representatives and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction. This position ensures compliance with all applicable safety rules and regulations and company policies.  Additionally, this position manages all Carter Express personnel on site.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Oversee daily operational planning and execution of the plan.
      • Maintain open communication and work with Toyota personnel to provide logistical solutions and maintain customer satisfaction.
      • Interview, hire, and train new staff
      • Provide positive coaching and counseling to personnel.
      • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
      • Develop and maintain employee schedules including vacation, etc.
      • Handle concerns from employees and customers
      • Enforce and practice all safety rules of the company, government agencies, including but not limited to DOT and OSHA.
      • Comply with all customer requirements including transit times and timely pick up and delivery.
      • Monitor and coordinate load coverage and required expedites.
      • Maintain accurate records to provide to billing department for invoicing.

      Driver Recruiter

      We are currently seeking a dynamic communicator to fill the position of Driver Recruiter. The ideal candidate should be self-starting, enthusiastic and a great communicator with excellent phone skills. The primary focus will be to recruit qualified drivers to fill our truck driving positions. We are focused on hiring someone with prior Driver Recruiter experience.

       

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Connect with prospective drivers who have expressed interest in driving for our company.
      • Process background checks, Motor Vehicle Reports and other reports necessary to ensure applicants comply with Carter Express hiring standards.

      OTR SUPERVISOR

       

      This position is responsible for effectively supervise the dedicated fleet operations and leads their location to maximum profitability, while exceeding customer expectations. OTR Supervisor will develop, coach, and train employees and drivers in a fair and equitable manner.

       

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Supervise daily operational planning and execution.
      • Efficiently plan all truck routes while increasing profitability and fully utilization of every driver on duty hours
      • Ensure on time pickups and deliveries to meet our customers’ needs.
      • Ensure Driver safety, including DOT compliance, safe working conditions, and maintaining company standards and policies.
      • Enforce and practice all safety rules of the company, government agencies, including but not limited to DOT and OSHA.
      • Develop and maintain employee schedules, time off request, PTO, etc.
      • Supervise timely communication with all customers and drivers.
      • Monitor and coordinate completion of all computer work for TMW, Total Mail, Samsara, etc.
      • Notifies drivers of all changes affecting their route (Customer cancellations, pick-ups, location changes, accidents, etc.)
      • Supervise and follow up on routes activity. Monitor and coordinate load coverage and required expedites.
      • Complete all administrative functions on a timely basis as required.
      • Resolve conflicts and troubleshoot problems by applying appropriate solutions to complex situations.
      • Keeps Dispatch Manager updated on issues and resolution of issues.

       

      Requirements:

      Dispatcher (Multiple Openings)

      This position is responsible for managing routes and drivers to ensure on time pickups and deliveries are made. Responsibilities include timeliness of the drivers/routes, communication to suppliers/plants/customers, driver management and other departments.

      Available Shifts:

      Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday 19:00 -07:00

      2nd Shift: Monday – Friday  17:00 – 01:00

      3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday 23:00-07:00

      Requirements/Skills

      • Dispatch/transportation experiences a plus.
