Crane Worldwide Logistics has appointed John David Thomas (pictured above) as regional vice president, South-Central region in the Americas, which covers HQ in Houston, as well as central and west Texas, Louisiana and the US-Mexico border.
Mr Thomas, known as JD to clients and colleagues, joined Crane on its leadership development programme in 2009, shortly after the company was founded.
During the past 12 years, he has held multiple positions and was instrumental in Houston’s success and growth during his most recent role as district director of Houston, and “significantly contributed to expanding Crane Worldwide’s US-Mexico border presence through successful operations in Laredo”.
Keith Winters, CEO, added: “As a logistics provider, we have due diligence to do our part to support the needs of the communities we serve. I asked each business leader to help their communities during the pandemic. JD made this a priority by acting with a keen sense of urgency to develop strategic solutions to broaden Crane Worldwide’s life sciences vertical.
“JD has established himself as a widely respected leader within our organisation and externally supporting a vast range of clients with outstanding service.
“He is a veritable asset to Crane Worldwide Logistics and our clients, and I know he is capable of taking our business to the next level in the South-Central region,” added Mr Winters.
